Revitalising Colville’s Living Heritage
Celebrating our stories, voices, and connections.
Revitalising Colville’s Living Heritage is a community writing and storytelling project that brings together our elders, youth, and neighbours to capture the living history of Northern Coromandel, its people, its organisations and its own culture. Through interviews, digitalisation workshops, and creative mentoring, young people learn the art of storytelling while our elders share their knowledge, memories, and local legends.
These shared stories will hopefully be published in print and online, preserving the voices of our place while strengthening intergenerational ties, literacy, and community pride.
This project is proudly led by Colville Junction, inspired by the locals, with volunteers, all contributing to a living archive of who we are.
Strong stories make strong communities — and our stories are still being written.
If you would like to participate or you are able to help, please contact the junction at [email protected]
