WHAT A SUCCESS!
The Colville Creative Pop Up has been a beacon of artistic brilliance, bringing together over 100 diverse and talented individuals. As we reflect on the past year, it's clear that this initiative has not only fostered creativity but also created lasting memories and connections. The success of our workshops and events in 2023 and 2024 has been overwhelming, and we hope to continue this momentum for two years.
It has been a significant emotional support |
It got me out of bed when I was grieving a loss. It provided a safe space for healing and creativity. |
Being part of the Colville Creative Pop Up has been nothing short of magical. The sense of community and shared creativity is truly inspiring. |
The workshops gave me a reason to look forward to each week. |

Creative Pop-Up First Year Complete
We hope to see you again soon!
Creative New Zealand funded Colville Junction in 2023-2024 to set up a ‘Creative Pop-Up ’ here in Colville for a year. The Creative Pop-up provided a space for our communities to come together, create and enjoy the arts. This initiative included a weekly creative space in the Colville Cafe on Thursdays, a monthly crafternoon session, workshops, special guests at the Colville Festival and more! Briar and Anna van Dort initiated this wonderful venture. Peridot Mawson and Teuane Tibbo will be the Coordinators until funding ended in June 2024. We are very grateful to the funding received from Creative NZ and support provided by Coromandel Independent Living Trust, who provided funding from the Manatu Taonga CARE Fund for three of the amazing workshop tutors over the year.
