Contributions and guidelines
Contributions are welcome, but may not always be used. We may also edit them for clarity and space. Email your news, notices, advertisements, jokes, recipes, dreams & handy hints!
Please email your contributions in Word or Open Office format (not PDF), and avoid adding layout or formatting unless it’s a poster or advertisement. We may edit submissions for clarity, length, or to fit the Pānui's layout.
While the Pānui is open to everyone in the community, the editor reserves the right to select which articles, advertisements, and letters are published, in line with our publication policy.
We do not publish content that is offensive or denigrates individuals, groups, or organisations.
The Pānui can be a space for respectful discussion on local issues, but it’s not the place for arguments, personal attacks, or ongoing disputes. We aim to keep things constructive and community-minded.
If you have any querries, please contact Brooke at : [email protected]

Guidelines from Policy:
1. The Pānui is a community newsletter whose primary goal is to showcase and celebrate the Northern Coromandel and its people while upholding the values of respect, inclusion, and positive engagement. We welcome contributions from all community members, including articles, announcements, notices and advertisements. The
Editor reserves the final right to select and edit all submissions for clarity and length to ensure they align with this policy and are of general interest to a broad section of our community.
2. To maintain a respectful and positive tone, we require all content to be respectful and fact-based. We will not publish material that criticizes or is denigratory, discriminatory, or offensive toward any individual, group, or organization. This newsletter is a platform for sharing information and celebrating, not for debating complex
technical, political, or social issues. Submissions should aim to inform and announce rather than argue a point, pressure or attempt to heavily influence the opinions of others.
3. We aim to provide a fresh and diverse reading experience in every issue. Submissions must be timely and relevant to current community life and community contributions will be prioritized. Content that is largely the same as material published in a recent issue will typically not be repeated, unless it is a paid advertisement.
4. By submitting material, contributors confirm that they are the original creator of the content and grant the newsletter permission to publish the material in print and digital formats. Contributors retain the copyright to their original work
